I’m Mike Trainor, an Instructional Design Specialist at FIU Online, where I work with SMEs to develop quality-certified online courses and digital simulations. Pedagogy, accessibility, and UX optimization guide my course design. I love delivering presentations to peers and faculty on innovative design strategy. I also created Argos, a custom Excel Workbook that helps ID teams track and maintain hundreds of courses each semester.
I have been an independent board game developer for over eight years. Good games require precise writing, a refined UX, and extensive application of feedback—all facets that elevate my instructional design.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from FIU's School of International and Public Affairs. Before that, I studied mathematics, art history, and philosophy at Swarthmore College. I have extensive experience in analysis, leadership, problem solving, and customer service. I incorporate creativity and innovation into everything I do.
