I’m Michael Trainor, an Instructional Design Specialist at FIU Online, where I develop online courses alongside professors, create digital simulations, prepare courses for quality certification, and adapt in-person course content for online learners. I’ve delivered multiple presentations on innovative design strategy to my peers and to faculty. I created Argos, a custom Excel Workbook that helps ID teams track and maintain hundreds of courses each semester.
I have been an independent board game developer for over eight years. I’m currently working on the second edition of Atomica: Seventh Species, a multiplayer strategy game. Good games require precise writing, UX-focused design elements, and (best of all) extensive testing with other players.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida International University’s School of International and Public Affairs. I transferred from Swarthmore College, where I studied mathematics, art history, and philosophy for three years. I have extensive experience in analysis, leadership, problem solving, and customer service. I incorporate creativity and innovation into everything I do.
